Yarns and Things!
Welcome to the story of my adventures!
Hi all,
Jet or lignite…to be technical…
Jet is formed from decaying wood under extreme pressure for thousands of years.
It is organic, but not a mineral. Called a minor gemstone.
The color is black or dark brown with occassional inclusions which are a brassy color or metallic.
Hard jet is the result of carbon compresion and sale water. Soft jet is carbon compression and fresh water.
It is easily polished and craved. But to get more detailed carving, one must be a experienced carver, otherwise it will break.
It was very popular in the 20′s and very valued by collectors today.
White Calcite is a crystal that comes from the earth in a number of geometric forms. It is often found attached to other crystals, such as amethyst, citrine and flourite.
It is found throughout the US, China, Brazil and Mexico.
It is a powerful energy amplifier and healer. It aids in memory, clears chakra centers and opens the crown chakra.
Until next time!
NOPE!
It’s only snowflake obsidian! Which is a stone of purity that balances mind and spirit.
When placed on the sacral chakra it wil calm and soothe and allow’s one to view their unhealthy patterns in their behavior, thus facilitating change.
The blackness of the background in this stone enhances the ability reach your inner self and it is one of the earliest known stones use for seeing into the future.
Healers use when workign with muscle cramps and it’s also great for detoxification.
This is an example of one of the ways I do greeting cards. This was last years Christmas card! I had bought a Cricut machine and was having a rough leaving it alone!
Since last Christmas I have branched out into stamps, different inks, EMBOSSING POWDER!!!!!!!!! and how I can incorporate different elements into my cards!
My pieces were described as freeform.
What’s my process? I’m drawn to color, texture, new ways to put something together.
It might be one of my own polymer clay pieces or a fiber art bead fashioned from novelty yarns.
I go from there…my own vision in my head…or maybe something I saw that I liked.
I find a color wheel a big help! It pushes me to put together colors I might not otherwise do.
Check out my pics on this blog to see the results!

They make great meditation crystals and Rose is good for Love and the Heart Chakra. Amethyst is for Inner Peace and the Crown Chakra. Clear is great foradvancement and all the Chakras. Hi all,
As it’s name inplies, it’s the colors of a peacock! Mixes of blues and pinks or shades of blues or pinks in one stone.
The technical name is chalcopyrite taken from the Greek words Chalkos meaning “copper” and pyrites meaning “strike fire”.
This is a mineral that increases the abilities of perception. It helps one pull ethereal energy to you and also helps bring information of you and others.
It can be used to break up energy blocks and open and clean the crown chkara. Makes a great meditation stone.
Cheers,
Brenda

Moss agate, also called mocha stone, is a semi precious gems It is tone. It’s usually found in granit and limestone. It has minerals of a green color embedded in it. All this forms a pattern that sometimes looks like blue cheese at times. The background is milky white or clear. It also includes chrome ,iron and mangenese that lends variations of color from red to black mixed in . It does not contain organic matter and it formed from weathered volcanic rock.
